Welcome to the Traveler's Den, a private guest suite in a gorgeous tri-level home in University Hills, El Sereno. This place is like a retreat, beautiful, peaceful and serene. Enjoy your morning tea or coffee on the back porch, surrounded by plants and succulents, you'd never know you're in the heart of the city. This cozy and clean bedroom is perfect for a relaxing getaway in LA. It's furnished with a twin size bed, so it's perfect for the solo traveller. The bathroom is private and attached to the room. There is also a dresser, a foldable tray table, plenty of shelf space.
This room does NOT have access to a kitchen, but your convenience there is a mini fridge and a microwave, a kettle, filtered water pitcher, and everything you need to make coffee or tea.
The room is on the side of the main house, so although it is private, it does share a wall with another living space where we have tenants. There are times when you may hear people walking, talking, etc...
You will be given a key to your private room,. You are more than welcome to use all the outdoor spaces, and the laundry facilities. This space does not have a living room or kitchen.
PARKING: There is free street parking on the hillside. There are available spaces that do not require a permit and are free to park, however if you are arriving after 6pm parking spaces become limited. Don’t be surprised if you have to park a bit away from the house, in that case you can drop your luggage at the front door before you park. If you have trouble finding parking space, please make sure to give us a call and we will do our best to help you out.
Feel free to block our driveway while you unload, just please do not stop or park in front of the driveway at our neighbor's house. (Even a few inches and she will have you towed. She's very serious about her driveway! )
DRIVING: This is a hillside neighborhood, and you will drive through winding roads for a few minutes before arriving at our house. If you are not used to driving on a these kinds of roads, jut remember that some of these roads can be narrow. Go slow and even through they are 2-way streets, you may need to take turns passing with other cars. Everyone is very friendly and you will get the hang of it real quickly.
ANIMALS: We have 2 cats that live on the property. You may see them in the outdoor spaces, they are very friendly
